The Salman Khan and Arijit Singh feud is known to all. Fans of the superstar and singer were hopeful of their reconciliation and voila! Their first song, titled Leke Prabhu Ka Naam, will be featuring in Tiger 3. The announcement came this afternoon on Salman's Instagram handle.
Burying the hatchet after 9 years, Salman and Arijit teamed up for the first time. The song, Leke Prabhu Ka Naam, will be picturised on Salman and Katrina Kaif. Sharing the first look poster, the superstar wrote, "Pehle gaane ki pehli jhalak. #LekePrabhuKaNaam! Oh haan, yeh hai Arijit Singh ka pehla gaana mere liye. Song out on 23rd Oct. #Tiger3 coming to theatres this Diwali, 12th Nov. Releasing in Hindi, Tamil & Telugu."
On October 5, a video of Arijit went viral on X. He was seen exiting Salman's building, Galaxy Apartments, in the evening. There were reports of their collaboration on Karan Johar and Vishnu Vardhan's untitled film and now, finally, the cat's out of the bag.
Salman and Arijit's feud is rooted in 2014 when the singer arrived at an awards ceremony dressed casually. He was reportedly editing a song and it was a last-minute decision to attend the ceremony. As Arijit went on the stage to receive his award, Salman who was hosting the show with Riteish Deshmukh, asked, "Tu hai winner (You're the winner)?" His reaction didn't go down well with the singer who replied, "Aap logon ne sula diya (You all put me to sleep)."
Just when the feud gained ground, Arijit penned a note for Salman on Facebook which was deleted amid mixed reactions. The note read, "Dear Mr Salman Khan, This is the last way I thought I would speak to you. I have been trying to text you call you and do everything possible to tell you that you are mistaken about the fact that I insulted you. I never did."
He added, "That night in the show, It was the wrong time and wrong aura. Nevertheless, you felt insulted. And I understood and I felt extremely sorry about it as me and my family have been your fan for long. I tried to explain so many times but you never got it. I apologized but you never got it. How many times I sent you apology texts you also know. At Nita Ji's place, I only came back to apologize to you but you didn't get it."
